Save Our Village
It is the goal of the Welland Residents Action Group to reach and inform everyone who may participate in or be touched by planning decisions about proposed developments in the village.
At Lawn Farm, the property developer plans to transform 30 acres of meadowland and hedgerows into an estate of 100 houses, a number that could grow to as many as 450 houses if the development follows the normal commercial process.
The Residents Action Group believe that the proposed development is wholely inappropriate and would constitute environmental vandalism. The village should be allowed to develop sustainably in response to real local need.
